THE VILAKAZI

Vilakazi Street is probably the most famous street in Soweto, a huge township that forms part of Johannesburg. It was named after Benedict Wallet Vilakazi, a Zulu poet, novelist, and educator, who was also the first black South African to receive a Ph. D. Both Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu lived in Vilakazi Street. Not many places in the world can claim that two Nobel Prize winners lived there!

Vilakazi belt

Hi guys, I’m loving my belt. I do find it strange that, the yellow colour is not the same as the Vilakazi sole. But I love it

Thank you for your wonderful feedback and review on our Vilikazi Belt. The soles are made out of TPR thermoplastic rubber, so the colour will come out different as the dye is mixed in to the material. The colour on the belt is matched as close as possible to the soles, but then when put onto the leather of the belt, changes the colour slightly. Please feel free to contact us should you have any further queries. Thank you for your valued support. Kind regards, Cas from VELDSKOEN
